OUR CREATOR
Serena Marija is a self-taught interdisciplinary artist, STEM researcher, and creative entrepreneur whose practice dissolves the boundaries between art, science, and technology. Guided by an otherworldly imagination and an acute sensitivity to both ancient intelligence and speculative futures, her work invites audiences to re-examine the architectures of reality itself.
Rooted in a background that spans film, television, fashion, and performance, Serena moves fluidly across disciplines, weaving disparate worlds into a singular, transformative vision. Her creative approach challenges perception, expands possibility, and positions art as a catalyst for cultural and cognitive evolution.
Her research at the University of Cambridge, centred on the commercialisation of early-stage AI technologies, deepened her engagement with emerging systems and their societal impact. As a Salzburg Global Fellow, Serena continues to explore the role of AI within the creative and cultural sectors, interrogating its capacities, its contradictions, and its implications for our shared future.
